CTHSHockey D2 All State Teams

By: Luke Devoe

First Team
Hand's Ben Solin celebrating a goal in the D2 SCC Final.

F Zachary White, Sr. (Milford Co-op)- Arguably the state's best player, the 61 point scorer returns for his senior year and immediately makes Milford a contender.
F Ben Solin, Jr. (Daniel Hand)- The elusive Solin has some of the best mitts in the state. Make sure to check him out this year as he's one of the most fun players to watch in the state.
F Harrison O'Connell, Sr. (New Milford)- O'Connell anchors a veteran Wave group.  Look for the 30 point scorer to elevate those totals this season.
D Conor Scharlop, Sr. (Fairfield Warde-Ludlowe)- Scharlop chips in on the offensive end as much as any defenseman in the state.  His 40 points from the blue line prove this.
D Johnny Uscilla, Sr. (Amity)- The co-captain quietly goes about his business, but his stalwartness paired with Amity's offensive weapons will make them lethal this year.
G Chase Briggs, Sr. (Hand)- Quick, fun to watch and proven.  Briggs will give Hand a chance to win every night regardless of opposition.

Second Team
Amity's Shea faces off with Cheshire's Vendetto last season.

F Tyler Criscuolo, Jr. (Branford)- Not as flashy as classmate Tyler Hackett, Criscuolo does all the intangible things to win games as well as score.
F Adam Shea, Sr. (Amity)- Probably the best offensive option on a team with many, Shea will quickly make Spartan fans forget their first round exit.
F Dan Roberts, Sr. (Newington-Berlin)- Roberts only played half the season for the Indians last year and tallied 20 points.  This will continue at the D2 level.
D Ben Lavallee, Sr. (Milford Co-op)- On top of the offensive options they have, Milford has one of the strongest top two D pairs in the state led by Lavallee.
D Eric Stoeckle, Jr. (Brookfield-Bethel-Danbury)- The lone holdover from last year's top four. BBD's success rests in Stoeckle's more than capable hands.
G AJ Brink, Jr. (Branford)- With Sarno gone, it's Brink's crease.  He and his stellar 92.4 save percentage will lead the Hornets this year.
BBD's Stoeckle working the boards against Farmington Valley last season.
