Players Who Stood Out (2/23)

PLAYERS WHO STOOD OUT (2/23): Will Stanton, Sr. (Xavier) & Jack Gethings, Jr. (Xavier) Both tallied one goal and two assists in Xavier's 7-3 win over West Haven.  Zach White, Jr. (Milford Co-op) Helped Milford top Fitch-EL-Ledyard 7-0 with three assists.  Nick Nuzzolo, Sr. (Amity) The Spartans' senior netminder stopped 33 of 35 shots to earn the win in Amity's 5-2 victory over North Branford.  Kevin Ryan, So. (Amity) Ryan helped the cause as well chipping in two goals in the win.  Demitri Yao, Jr. (Northwest Catholic) Yao scored twice and added an assist in NWC's 4-0 win over Suffield-Granby-WL.  Harry Stanton, Jr. (New Canaan) & Puck Richardson, Sr. (New Canaan) Stanton notched two goals and an assist while Richardson potted one goal and helped on two others guiding New Canaan to the FCIAC semi's in a 4-2 win over Greenwich.  Vin Rella, Sr. (Ridgefield) The Tiger captain paced Ridgefield in a 5-2 semifinal win over Trinity Catholic with a hat trick in the victory.  BJ Richard, Sr. (Newington-Berlin) The Indians leading scorer notched a hat trick in Newington-Berlin's 11-0 win over RMR.  Billy Vizzo, Jr. (NDWH) Vizzo continues to stand out factoring in on six of NDWH's seven goals with a hat trick and three assists.  Ryan Lynch, So. (NDWH) Vizzo's linemate, Lynch scored a goal and helped on three others in the NDWH victory.  David White, Sr. (Fairfield Prep) & Dean Lockery, Jr. (Fairfield Prep) White led Prep with two goals and two assists in their 7-3 win over rival Hamden.  Lockery chipped in with two goals and an assist in the victory.  Zac Bouve, Jr. (East Haven) The Yellow Jackets netminder stopped 36 of 39 shots in a 3-2 overtime loss to Guilford.  Matt Horton, So. (Guilford) The sophomore scored two goals including the game winner in OT and added an assist in Guilford's 3-2 OT victory over East Haven.  Austin Hansen, Sr. (West Haven) Hansen factored in on all of the Westies' goals in their 7-3 loss to Xavier with two goals and an assist.
